Every great community starts somewhere.
Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of the Layer 30x30 Beta Program — a focused initiative bringing together 30 early members for 30 days to help shape the future of Layer.
Layer was created around a simple idea: the things we own, use, create, and care about tell a story about who we are. Whether it’s a favorite golf club, a trusted stroller, a project car, a fishing boat, a pair of sneakers, or a family recipe, our possessions often reflect our passions. Layer gives people a place to share those stories, connect through common interests, and discover new communities along the way.
But before opening our doors to everyone, we want to make sure we’re building something worth sharing.
Over the next 30 days, our beta members will help us test features, create Layers, join Communities, discover Interests, and provide honest feedback on what works—and what doesn’t. Their participation will help us refine the experience, strengthen the platform, and ensure Layer launches with a solid foundation.
This isn’t just about finding bugs. It’s about learning how people naturally use Layer, what inspires them to contribute, what communities resonate most, and how we can make discovering new passions and connections even easier.

Create authentic Layer content
Improve usability and navigation
Identify opportunities for new features
Shape the future direction of the platform
By the end of the program, we’ll have a stronger product, richer content, and a clearer understanding of how Layer can become the home for people who love sharing what they’re made of.
